Frequently Asked Questions ▼
1. How many rock lights do I need for my truck or Jeep - 4 or 8 piece kit?
The Oracle ColorSHIFT RGB+W Rock Light Kit is available in both 4-piece and 8-piece configurations. For most trucks and SUVs, the 8-piece kit is recommended to illuminate all four wheel wells with two pods per wheel, providing complete underbody coverage. The 4-piece kit works well for smaller vehicles or budget-conscious buyers who want to illuminate just the front or rear wheels. Oracle recommends ordering at least 2 extension cables for optimal installation flexibility. Each pod features an ultra-wide 230° beam angle with 3 separate LED emitters, meaning you get significantly better coverage per pod compared to traditional rock lights that require multiple units per wheel well.
2. Can I control Oracle rock lights with my smartphone and what colors are available?
Yes, Oracle ColorSHIFT RGB+W Rock Lights feature dual-control functionality with both Bluetooth smartphone app control and wireless RF remote control included. The system is compatible with iOS 7+ and Android 4.3+ devices. Using Oracle's ColorSHIFT technology, you can select from thousands of custom colors, adjust brightness levels, access multiple strobing patterns, and even sync the lights with music. The kit includes a TRUE 6000K white LED mode for functional off-road lighting, plus the full RGB color spectrum including red, green, blue, amber, yellow, pink, purple, and cyan. The included pre-wired on/off switch provides manual control, while the Bluetooth app offers advanced customization for creating custom color combinations and effects.
3. Are Oracle RGB+W rock lights waterproof and durable for off-road use?
Yes, Oracle ColorSHIFT RGB+W Rock Lights are built for extreme off-road conditions with IP68 waterproof rating, meaning they're completely protected against water immersion and dust intrusion. The oversized pods feature aluminum housing with black powder-coat finish for durability and corrosion resistance. All connections use IP68 waterproof plug-and-play connectors for reliable performance through water crossings, mud, pressure washing, and harsh weather. Each pod contains 22 high-brightness 5050 RGBW LED chips producing 2000+ lumens in white mode. The robust construction and 11-foot wire length per pod ensure long-lasting performance in challenging off-road environments, backed by a 1-year warranty.
4. What makes Oracle rock lights better than other LED rock light kits?
Oracle ColorSHIFT RGB+W Rock Lights outperform competitors through their ultra-wide 230° beam angle, which is the widest coverage available on the market. Each oversized pod uses 3 separate LED emitters strategically positioned to illuminate the entire wheel well area, eliminating the need for multiple lights per wheel that other brands require. The kit includes TRUE 6000K white mode (not the blue-tinted white common in cheaper RGB lights) alongside full ColorSHIFT RGB functionality. Oracle's dual-control system provides both Bluetooth smartphone app and wireless RF remote control for maximum convenience. The 22 LEDs per pod deliver 2000+ lumens of functional lighting, while IP68 waterproof connectors and aluminum construction ensure reliability that cheap plastic alternatives can't match.
5. How difficult is it to install Oracle ColorSHIFT rock lights and what's included?
Oracle ColorSHIFT RGB+W Rock Lights feature plug-and-play installation that takes approximately 2 hours for most vehicles. The kit includes everything needed: 4 or 8 oversized LED rock light pods, wireless RF remote control pad, Bluetooth control module with splitter, rubber mounts for curved mounting surfaces, pre-wired on/off switch, and all installation hardware. Battery connection leads include ring terminals and inline fuse for simplified wiring. Each pod has an 11-foot wire length, though Oracle recommends ordering at least 2 extension cables to ensure maximum wiring flexibility for your specific vehicle. Waterproof IP68 connectors make it easy to connect individual pods to the central control box without splicing or soldering. Complete installation instructions and wiring diagrams are included.
