Dune Theory LLC operates the Dune Theory website and online retail business.

Dune Theory is an online retailer offering off-road, automotive, overlanding, recovery, adventure, and related products.

Many products available through Dune Theory are manufactured, supplied, and/or fulfilled by independent third-party manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and fulfillment partners.

Unless expressly identified otherwise, Dune Theory is not the manufacturer of third-party products sold through the website.

Products may ship directly from the applicable manufacturer or supplier.

5. Vehicle Modification and Off-Road Use

Off-road driving and vehicle modification involve inherent risks.

Products sold through Dune Theory may alter vehicle characteristics, including suspension, handling, ground clearance, weight, braking, electrical systems, recovery capability, or other operating characteristics.

Customers are solely responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for their vehicle and intended use.

Products must be installed, maintained, and operated according to applicable manufacturer instructions, safety recommendations, and applicable laws and regulations.

Dune Theory does not encourage unsafe, reckless, unlawful, or irresponsible use of vehicles or equipment.

6. Installation

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Dune Theory does not provide installation services.

Customers are responsible for installation and any associated labor costs.

Professional installation should be obtained when recommended by the manufacturer or when the installation requires specialized knowledge or equipment.

Improper installation, modification, misuse, abuse, neglect, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions may result in product failure, vehicle damage, injury, or loss of applicable manufacturer warranty coverage.

7. Manufacturer Warranties

Dune Theory does not provide, administer, or independently honor manufacturer warranties for third-party products.

Warranty coverage for third-party products is determined exclusively by the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms, subject to applicable law.

Warranty duration, exclusions, coverage, eligibility, remedies, and claim procedures may vary by manufacturer and product.

Customers with warranty questions or claims concerning third-party products will be directed to the applicable manufacturer in accordance with the Dune Theory Warranty Policy.

Dune Theory may assist customers in identifying the appropriate manufacturer or warranty process but does not assume the manufacturer's warranty obligations.

Products manufactured and sold directly by Dune Theory, if any, may be subject to separate Dune Theory warranty terms.

8. Returns and Refunds

Returns are governed by the Dune Theory Return & Refund Policy.

Among other requirements:

  • Returns must generally be initiated within 14 calendar days of delivery.

  • Approved returns must generally be received within 28 calendar days of delivery.

  • An approved Dune Theory RMA is required before a return is shipped.

  • Eligible non-defective returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

  • Verified manufacturer errors are not subject to the restocking fee.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Return-shipping responsibility depends on the reason for the return and applicable manufacturer requirements.

  • Clearance and designated final-sale products are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Customers should review the complete Return & Refund Policy before returning any product.

9. Shipping

Shipping and fulfillment information is governed by the Dune Theory Shipping Policy.

Many products are fulfilled directly by manufacturers or suppliers.

Any stated processing, manufacturing, fulfillment, or delivery time is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.

Dune Theory does not guarantee manufacturer fulfillment times or carrier delivery times.

Oversized, freight, residential, rural, remote, international, and other specialized shipments may be subject to additional shipping requirements and charges.

Customers are responsible for applicable shipping charges, customs duties, taxes, tariffs, brokerage fees, and other applicable costs as described in the Shipping Policy.

10. Website Content and Intellectual Property

The Dune Theory name, logo, tagline, website design, original written content, graphics, photographs, videos, software, and other original materials belonging to Dune Theory are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

The Dune Theory tagline is:

Except as expressly permitted by Dune Theory, no person or entity may reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, publish, transmit, sell, or commercially exploit Dune Theory-owned content without prior written authorization.

Third-party trademarks and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
